The Team

Dr. Leo Karabellas, Hons.BSc.,D.C., D.Ac..

Dr. Leo Karabellas successfully graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2005 following a four-year intensive training program where focus was placed on the cause, management, and prevention of pain, injury and dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. He is an evidence-based practitioner who adopts a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care and management. He incorporates his extensive training and clinical background to bring patients a diverse range of services; chiropractic care, muscle therapy (active release), manual therapy, medical Acupuncture, rehabilitation exercise, postural/ergonomic advice, and nutritional and lifestyle counseling. Additionally, he is certified in Neurofunctional Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University and has extensive knowledge in Active Release Technique ART, custom orthotics/shoes, compression hosiery, bracing, and assistive devices. He is experienced in the diagnosis and rehabilitation of a wide range of neuromusculoskeletal conditions/injuries whether sports, work, posture, or motor-vehicle accident related (strain/sprains of spine and extremities, fractures, post-operative care, ligament/muscle tears, etc.). He believes the care and well-being of his patients is of the ultimate importance and that a patient’s therapy experience should be built upon compassion, trust, competency, and communication.

Providing specific patient centered physical therapy to address your specific concern/complaint. No assembly line care here. Techniques such as mobilization, stretching, cupping, massage, and Acupuncture are utilized.

Professional In-Home Therapy

Providing in-home therapy care for patients who can not travel, have mobility issues, or have no time to visit a clinic. Specific physical therapy to address your pain complaint. Techniques such as mobilization, stretching, cupping, massage, and Acupuncture are utilized tom your specific needs.

Specializing in Motor vehicle accident (MVA) and workplace (WSIB) therapy

We specialize in car accident and workplace rehabilitation therapy services. We work with your Auto insurance and WSIB to get you the right and best services. Best of all, therapy is provided in the clinic or in your home setting.

We also provide/dispense custom orthotics, compression socks, TENS units, heat pads, pillows, back supports, braces (non-custom and custom), pain relief creams, and nutritional products/supplements.

Medical-legal Assessment Services

Performing a wide array assessment such as Functional Abilities Evaluations, Worksite/Physical Demands Analysis Assessments, In-Home assessments, file reviews, and Chiropractic Examinations.

HOW In-home therapy WORKS

The Process

1. Just simply call us or email us and an thorough intake will be performed specific to your health and wellness needs; whether an injury, pain complaint, or just seeking products or information regarding our services.

2. Dr. Leo will then make an appointment with you at a time in your home convenient for you. An assessment and evaluation will be performed as well as a diagnosis of your pain complaint. Rehabilitation therapy will also be provided on the first visit consistent with your diagnosis and the specific service you prefer; chiropractic, Acupuncture, cupping. etc. A specific course of treatment will be recommended regarding frequency and duration of care. The initial visit will be approximately one hour or so, but is variable depending on the specific case. Any and all questions are welcomed.

3. All relevant paperwork and consent forms for treatment will be completed on the first visit with the strictest privacy being maintained.

4. If you have health insurance through work we will contact your insurance company and find out your coverage for all relevant services and if we can direct bill your therapy. If allowed, WE WILL DIRECT BILL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY. If not, payment will be required after each visit. We accept cash, cheque, and credit card. A professional receipt will be provided to submit to your insurance. For AUTO and WSIB claims, there is no need for payment as we bill the insurance companies directly.

5. You will be reminded of your appointments via TEXT or email one day before your appointment. We require 24 hrs cancellation notice.

6. The above applies for all products such as orthotics, compression socks, braces, and exercises equipment.
